Benefits of Project
Sustainability is at the core of the companies operations. They have made a significant commitment to reducing their carbon footprint by harnessing the power of solar energy. This takes shape in the form of a 644kWp grid tied plant in Bothaville using Yingli Solar PV modules, Friem inverters.
The solar project is a symbol of our dedication to sustainability, with 2526 x 255-Watt solar panels generating between 2.5 and 3.5 Megawatt hours of power daily. This translates to about 1,000,000 Kwh annually and a total of 31,973 Megawatt over the 25-year lifespan of the solar plant. By embracing solar energy they are proud to save 1,226,400 kg of CO2 emissions each year, equivalent to planting 4,882 trees annually.
- 31,973 Megawatt over the 25-year lifespan
- Offset 1,226,400 kg of CO2 emissions each year

Pioneering Industry Standards
The initiative not only benefits the environment but also showcases their commitment to green practices. The adoption of solar energy sets them apart as pioneers in Africa’s milling industry, emphasizing the focus on sustainability and innovation.
Located in the maize capital of South Africa the company has been a significant player in the maize milling industry since 2008. Their advanced facilities can process up to 500,000 tonnes per year, meeting market demands while upholding the highest quality standards.
Incorporating state-of-the-art technology like 7 automatic auto-bagging packlines, 2 small packaging lines, and 4 manual lines, they can efficiently pack up to 90 tonnes per hour. Additionally, the recent installation of an extrusion plant has allowed them to introduce instant porridge to the product range, offering enhanced value and variety to customers.
From maize meal to instant porridge, every product reflects their relentless pursuit of quality and customer satisfaction. As they evolve and diversify the focus remains on enriching lives, supporting the local community, and driving innovation in the agricultural landscape.
